HILVERSUM, the Netherlands and GWANGJU, Korea, March 6, 2014 — OE Solutions and AimValley are introducing Chronos Smart SFP™ TS (Transparent SyncE) to support synchronization on electrical Gigabit Ethernet links.
Chronos Smart SFP™ TS conforms to the Synchronous Ethernet (SyncE) standard defined by ITU-T and is fully transparent for Precision Time Protocol (PTP) messages as defined in IEEE 1588v2 over a copper connection. This product allows operators to utilize copper Ethernet cables on SFP ports while still fulfilling the stringent timing requirements in applications such as LTE-Advanced in mobile networks.
